The MSC Conway-Fitzhugh International Honors Leadership Seminar brings 30 of Texas A&M University’s top incoming freshmen to the beautiful Italian hill town of Castiglione Fiorentino for a two and a half week personal and academic development program the summer before their first college semester.
Of course seminar participants also get a healthy taste of Italian culture through tours, museum visits, lectures, and simply by living and studying in this Tuscan town. Excursions include trips to Rome, Florence, Venice, Assisi, Arrezzo, and Cortona. As you can see from our photos, seminar participants enjoy the chance to see some of the greatest art, architecture, and antiquities in the western world.
Personal and academic success sessions
Seminar participants attend sessions focused on helping them:
maximize their success in college;
learn about the university’s academic services and resources;
understand co-curricular and student leadership opportunities;
develop their leadership skills and philosophies; and
build friendships with their new peers.
